Who am I?
My name is Agata Gągała and I create unique utility ceramics. Love for nature allows me to inspire it and design objects that are beautiful and functional at the same time. All my products are handmade because I believe that handmade ceramics have better energy. Each of my items is unique and one of a kind. This is because I like to experiment and look for newer and newer techniques and methods of making ceramics.
Privately, I am married to Łukasz, who supports me in my work, helping me create unique clay items. I graduated from college in the UK in the field of Graphic Design, and then Industrial Design at the Koszalin University of Technology. On the other hand, I’m interested in photography.
Why BOO-KA-BOO?
The name itself is short sounds that came to me from the spiritual world. It is my own creative space which allows me to appreciate the noble and natural material clay.
My adventure with ceramics began in 2016, when I had the opportunity to work with this unique material for the first time. It is here that I combine my passion for creating forms, illustrations and patterns on my objects. Each of my ideas begins to sprout in my head, but all the magic of the creative process begins only in the art studio that I created for myself in a charming Pomeranian village.
